It’s been a year since I’ve worked as an accident lawyer in Jackson, Mississippi. When we were having a Christmas party, I couldn’t believe that I got the Jackson accident lawyer award! There were other talented accident lawyers in the law firm but I can’t really fathom why it was me who got the award.

Since my curiosity kept on haunting me, I decided to ask the boss regarding the award I received. When I got home after an eight-hour Christmas party, I insisted to call my boss. When I asked him how I got the award, he told me that I was the only one who won five cases in a row. The other accident lawyers did win a lot of case but the winnings were not consecutive.

When I went back to the Philippines for a vacation, I was surprised that my family also knew about the award I received. It turned out that my colleagues in Mississippi informed them already. Although I was kind of disappointed because I wanted to be the one who would surprise them, I still feel glad that they appreciated my efforts. Hopefully, my winning streaks would still be consistent when I get back to work.
